Time Flies

I have to say that this semester seems faster than last semster. It's going to be April soon, and I will go back home on May 4th. How time flies!
During last thre months, I strengthen my conviction in majoring in hospitality business. Before 2013, I didn't know what I should learn and what I want to do in the future. However, at the time I went into the class of hospitality management, I knew I would do that in the future. Everything is fun in that class. Recently, we have learned human resource, marketing and food service in hospitality business class. I have learned commercial operations, FIFO system, contribution margin, and how to tell the differences between noncommercial and commercial operations and selected subcategories for each. I was not a person who like to serve or to help the people who I don't really know, but now I think it's fun and important to learn how to serve and help others. In my opinion, it's the main idea in hospitality management. Only when we serve others, we would know what's the most important stuff to the guests. Majoring in hospitality managemen could not only teach me something about the professionl field, but also can teach me something about how to be a better person.
I really have learned a lot this semester, not only in my field, but other classes too. My writing class, lab class, sailing class and biology class all give me a lot that are totally new to me.
Talking about going home, I think it's the biggest wish for every foreign student who study abroad. Although it's my third year studying in the United States, I would still be excited when I'm thinking about going home to see my families. There is only one month left, I will try my best to keep doing a good job in every class. :)

  1. I am really happy I found this post, and excited to hear how much you enjoy Hospitality Business as a major. I recently changed my major to HB, and I was a little worried if I would enjoy the classes or not. Your post did a great job describing how much you like the classes and I feel I will too. I also think it's neat that you have studied abroad for three years, that is something I have always wanted to do.
